We’re so excited to bring back another 10x10 challenge and for this round, we’re focusing on building a work-from-home capsule.
If you're looking to simplify your mornings or feel stuck in your outfit choices at home, this is perfect for you. The goal is to love the clothes we already own and learn how to do MORE with LESS.
What is a 10x10 challenge?
The 10x10 wardrobe challenge is simple: pick 10 items from your closet, create 10 different outfits, and wear them over the next 10 days. That’s it!
If you understand capsule wardrobes, this should be super easy for you. But to put it simply, you want to use versatile items so they match one another seamlessly and are in your selected colour palette.
Sounds simple enough, right? Let’s get started!
What items are included in a 10x10 challenge?
For this challenge, we’ve picked a core colour palette of black, white, navy and beige with pops of colour to brighten up the wardrobe. By sticking to our selected palette, we just simplified this challenge.
The items we picked are a mix of casual and professional styles that can be easily mixed and matched with one another. They work well for the work-from-home lifestyle and are super soft and stretchy so you stay comfy while looking AND feeling like a million bucks.
Here are the ten items we selected:
- 3 tops (tank top, long sleeve + button up shirt)
- 3 bottoms (Jeans, joggers + pants)
- 2 layering pieces (Blazer + cardigan)
- 1 dress
- 1 pair of shoes (for this challenge, we’ve selected two different options given your preference of flats or heels)
Quick tips for choosing your items
Pick a few of your favourite core pieces and add things that match them. If something is not working, swap it out and don’t stress!
Think about your schedule over the next ten days. Do you have a lot of zoom meetings or have planned plenty of outdoor activities? Take these into consideration and select your pieces accordingly. Don’t forget about the weather!
Accessories don’t count towards your ten items - take advantage of them to spice up your look. Try to match your colours but don’t go overboard. Winter coats are another item that does not count toward your ten things.
Your list doesn’t have to look like ours - it’s about what works best for you.
