6 ways to style your favourite leggings this season

We all know how much of a struggle it can be sometimes to put a cute outfit together. If you’re someone that struggles to figure out what you're going to wear in the morning, then this blog post is FOR YOU! Raf, our amazing customer care coordinator, came up with 6 easy style combinations with our bestselling leggings - because COMFORT is NUMBER 1 on our list of priorities. 💁‍♀️ For this blog post, Raf will be styling two different leggings. The first is our NEW Vero legging. It has a 4" crossover waistband that is so flattering on every silhouette. The second is our bestselling leggings, the Lisa2 leggings! Our Lisa2 are in thousands of women's closets across the country, because they are seriously incredible. They're super high-waisted, and have a control top waistband that smooth everything out. Plus, they don't fade or lose their shape and will last for YEARS in your closet!

In many of the images below, both leggings will look the exact same, so it all depends on what feature you prefer — maybe you will end up wanting both! However, for the purpose of this blog, either of them would work perfectly with all the looks we put together. We're all about doing more with less.

FIRST OUTFIT: LEGGINGS DRESSED UP

For the first outfit, we’re styling the Lisa2 legging in black. I’m personally wearing a size S here, but I could also size down for more compression. I decided to start off with a more unpredictable way to style leggings — a very corporate look that you could definitely wear to work! I styled the Lucia collared shirt in black under the Priya v-neck top in chocolate melange. Can we talk about how obsessed everyone is with this new brown? It goes so well with EVERYTHING, and looks amazing on every skin tone! Who said you can’t wear black with brown? We're all about breaking the rules 😉

The layered look of the Lucia under the Priya makes the two pieces look super put together — so chic, so versatile, and that's what we're all about! The Priya would look good with any colour of the Lucia shirt, think of the natural pinstripe Lucia with the chocolate melange Priya, or the claret Lucia with Priya in black, there's endless colour and outfit combinations! 🤩

The accessories really elevate the look. I was wearing suede Chelsea boots in a very light caramel. Here’s an option I really like from Tom’s — a sustainable brand that is B corp certified 💚 For the purse I was wearing a tote that would fit your laptop and all the essentials. Here’s a great option from Brave Soles, a Canadian sustainable brand that we love. For jewelry, I was wearing a very minimal necklace from Swarovski and the other necklace is from a Brazilian brand — based in Toronto! They’re called Diamoon Jewelry if you want to check them out. 

SECOND OUTFIT: LEGGINGS WITH A DUSTER CARDIGAN

For my second look, I chose to pair the Lisa2 legging in navy melange with the Shandra tank and the Joey duster both in black. These leggings fit so beautifully, I still can't believe how stretchy they are! I knotted the Shandra tank top and then put on the Joey duster. To complete the look, I put on my super comfortable white platform converse. The jewelry is the same as before, and the purse is from Samara, a vegan fashion accessories brand.

With this outfit you can wear any top you’d like, if it’s a chilly day you could go with the Shannon long sleeve, the Cami, the Marianna, the Priya, there are so many amazing tops to choose from this season and you just can't go wrong! If you want to add some more pop of colour you could get the Joey in one of our melanges, or add a colourful top under the black duster. Play around with it and have some fun, that's what it's all about. 😁 You could easily dress up this outfit with heeled boots too!

THIRD OUTFIT: LEGGINGS WITH A TUNIC

Such a cozy look! The classic black Lisa2 leggings with the Tate cowl tunic in fog melange stripe. Can we talk about how cute this tunic is? First of all, the cowl neck isn't too bulky, but also not too minimal. It's the perfect amount of fabric. Plus, it has the COMFIEST kangaroo front pocket? Yes, PLEASE! 🤗 The drop shoulders give it a more slouchy and stylish look, which I love.

I would totally wear this outfit to a casual dinner date. Going out while feeling like you ordered take out in your pyjamas? SIGN ME UP! I decided to pair it with some edgier booties, here’s one I LOVE from Able just to add some more character to the already super cute combo. I had to put my hair up because I wanted all the attention to go to the beautiful cowl neck, and I paired it with chunkier earrings to add a statement.

FOURTH OUTFIT: LEGGINGS WITH A LONG DRESS SHIRT

Ready for a dressy formal outfit? I present to you the Rafaela tunic with the Vero leggings in black. This tunic is just like the Lucia collared shirt, but reinvented as a tunic, and I'm in love! (Not to mention it's named after me 😇). It has gorgeous side slits that flow beautifully when walking. I’m going to show you two ways to style it, but feel free to play around and have fun with it. The first option is wear it loose with the leggings, I put my hair up because I wanted to focus on the collar again.

The second option is wearing a belt to define the waist. You could wear it with a thicker or a thinner belt, totally up to you! For me personally, I wanted the belt to be a statement piece so I went for a thicker option with a golden buckle, you can find similar ones pretty easily but here’s a good sustainable suggestion from Noani. For shoes I wanted to go with chunky booties that would be comfortable to wear to work and super cute for a night out, check these ones out from Nisolo. 

FIFTH OUTFIT: LEGGINGS STYLED FOR FALL

The comfy autumn look we all want! Here’s the combo: Lisa2 leggings in sage melange + Shandra tank in autumn stripe, with the Rory cardi in navy. Bringing your work from home comfort to the office, but don’t tell anyone 🤫 

These leggings are thick enough to make you feel supported, yet so breathable that you won’t want to take them off...like ever! The sage melange is such a flattering colour, it goes perfectly well with our autumn stripe and the navy in the Rory just brings the whole look together. You could also do navy melange Shandra and autumn stripe Rory and just play around with the colours. The best thing about Miik collections is that the colours all go so well together, it makes styling so effortless!

This would look super cute with white sneakers if you wanted a more casual look. I wanted it to be a bit more corporate friendly so I paired it with caramel booties and a tote, this one from Matt and Nat is very cute.

SIXTH OUTFIT: LEGGING ATHLEISURE OUTFIT

Athletic and casual outfit to finish off! First of all, can I talk about how OBSESSED I am with these leggings? The crossover waistband shapes the body so beautifully, I just had to come up with an outfit that would show it off. This is the NEW Vero legging in port, styled with the Marianna tee in white and a denim jacket. This is the perfect casual outfit to run errands or take a walk in the park with your dog. To show off the BEAUTIFUL waistband of the leggings I tied a knot on the t-shirt. Accessorize by throwing on your comfy running shoes and a belt bag, we love this one from Brave Soles.

All our leggings are super versatile, we wanted to show how many different outfits you can make with just one pair! They're great leggings for yoga or working out, but since they have non-athletic and minimal stitching — they are so easy to dress up or dress down too.
